1. Phong Nha cave – Tien Son cave

  In order to reach Phong Nha cave, you will need to take a boat for 30 minutes from the Tourism Center. Phong Nha has been voted as one of the most wonderful caves in the world for a number of reasons: for its longest underground river, for its most beautiful underground lake, for its highest and widest entrance, for its most beautiful and widest dry cave, for its most beautiful sandbank and reef, as well as for its most spectacular stalactites, stalagmites and longest water grottos.


Tien Son cave (also known as dry cave) is located on an elevation of about 200 m above sea level. The vault of the cave is highlighted with many different colors. The cave features thousands of stalactites, stalagmites and jade green stone columns.


 2. Paradise cave

  Paradise cave is one of the most magnificent and mysterious wonders in the world, known as “Royal palace in the ground”.

It is located about 70km to the northwest from the central of Dong Hoi city and 25km from Phong Nha cave. Passing by the small entrance, visitors can admire the wide space which unfolds thereafter. It features masterpieces of stalactites and stalagmites that will inspire your imagination. With a length of 31.4 km, Paradise cave is considered the longest dry cave in Asia.


3. Son Doong cave

   Located in the core zone of the Phong Nha – ke Bang National Park, Son Doong cave is 7.3km long, 150m high, 200m wide  and has been considered as the world’s biggest cave. It features a magnificent stalactites system, a collection of beautiful stone pearls and a unique primeval forest.


4. Tu Lan cave system

   Located in Tan Hoa commune, Minh Hoa distrist, about 70 km north-west of Phong Nha cave, including eight caves, namely Tu Lan, Song Oxalis, Uoi, Chuot, Hung Ton, Kim, Ken and Bi Mat. Tu Lan cave system with untouched beauty, magnificent stalactites and stalagmites, as well as underground rivers and splendid waterfalls, making Tu Lan a unique spot for visitors who like adventure.

5. Nuoc Mooc eco-trail

  The Nuoc Mooc eco-trail is located next to the west branch of the Ho Chi Minh Trail. The word “Nuoc mooc” means “water coming up from the earth” in the local language. Visitors can enjoy and wonderfully relax alongside the spring of the Chay river.

6. Chay river – Dark cave

  The Chay river originates from the Ke Bang limestone mountains. It flows through villages along the Park and also bends into the Dark cave. Dark cave makes an ideal destination to discover and experience the natural beauty of the stalactites and stalagmites away from the crowds.

   Chay river – Dark cave has put into used new tourism services: System of zip line. Visitors will experience two zip line routes. One route connects the animal conservation station and Toi Cave and the other route, which crosses the Chay River, kayaking, swimming through Thuy Tien lake inside the Dark cave, mud bathing inside the cave…  


7. Vung Chua – Yen Island

  Vung Chua – Yen (swallow) Island is a stunning view belongs to Tho Son hamlet, Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, about 4 km to the southern from Ngang pass, over 2 km to the eastern from National Highway No.1A. Vung Chua area is peaceful seawater and Yen Island emerges as a green jewel, making great natural scenery.

Rong mountain – the resting place of General Vo Nguyen Giap in Quang Binh province, thousands of people per day across the country paid a visit and offered incense in tribute to General Vo Nguyen Giap at Vung Chua – Yen Island area.


8. Nhat Le beach

  About 2 km to the northeast from Dong Hoi city is the beautiful Nhat Le beach with its endless white sand. After a dive into the cool and fresh blue water, visitors can enjoy the famous quality seafood and taste the flavours of the Rose city.

9. Temple of heroic martyrs of the trail No.20 and “Tam Co” cave

  “Tam Co” cave (the Eight Voluntary Youths cave) is located at km16+500 on the Road No.20 which is part of the legendary Truong Son trail. During the American War, eight volunteers, all aged around 20, got trapped inside the cave after a bomb attack and died. Today, “Tam Co” cave has become a spiritual tourism destination for domestic travelers.


   Located next to “Tam Co” cave, can be found the heroic martyrs commemorating temple. It is a place to express the gratitude to the mythical feat of the youth volunteers who laid down their life for maintaining the traffic line on the Ho Chi Minh trail.


10. Da Nhay beach

    Following the National Highway No.1A about 30 km to the north of Dong Hoi city, visitors will reach Da Nhay beach. The place was given its name by the rocks at the beach which have assumed the shape of a frog due to the erosion by the sea water. This is an attractive tourism point. It is considered as one of the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam.
